Andris Family

Jenn Young

The Andrises are a passionate, spirited family who live life based on a foundation of commitment to God's word. Nathan and Andrea have two children, Aidan (3) and Braelyn (1) and are quite active in service to CrossWay. Andrea volunteers in KidsWay teaching Kindergarten and First Graders, and Nathan serves as CrossWay's Treasurer.

Their story begins on May 11, 2002 when they graduated from college in Illinois. They were married just seven days later and moved to New Hampshire within eleven days of the ceremony. In the span of just eighteen days they committed themselves to their future, each other, and to helping spread grace in an area of the country where the spiritual, God-filled lifestyle is not ubiquitous. They primarily moved east to help Andrea's father start a new church. Though they initially began to attend CrossWay when they moved to New Hampshire, they left in 2004 to help him with the planting of the Oasis Christian Church in Concord. Two years later the Andrises returned to CrossWay.

Andrea and Nathan each have a favorite passage from the Bible, and their lifestyle is a direct reflection of the respective scripture. Andrea strives to live the words of Paul, who tells us, "[as we] have always obeyed... continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose" (Philippians 2:12-13). Andrea embodies that good purpose as an English teacher at Southern New Hampshire University, coaching and working with international students to ready them for their studies in America. Furthermore, as an advocate of the English as a Second Language (ESL) program, she helps people to learn English, but also to acquire knowledge and to better themselves. Ideally, Andrea hopes to become more involved in ESL ministries as her children get older and more time becomes available. She has a clear purpose in her mind and she lives it each day through her actions.

Nathan, also aspires to live by Paul's words: "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). As a math teacher at Pennichuck Middle School and as the church's Treasurer, Nathan is naturally inclined to help people by teaching them about personal finances and budgeting. Nathan hopes to one day extend the Lifeline classes beyond the church and into the community for the many people who are in desperate need of assistance.

Nathan and Andrea are firmly devoted to serving others according to the gifts they've been given. They delight in spreading God's light and Gospel, and they demonstrate their passion for God by working towards offering a positive presence in the church and the community at large.
