Who We Are
. . . is a journey. Some choose to go on the journey clinging to a philosophy or a religion. Some amble down the path never giving much thought to life. Others choose to go on the journey with Jesus as their guide. Those who journey with Jesus experience life at its best. The purpose of this class is to better connect you to Jesus and to other Christ-followers for the journey of life. This journey is an adventure of hearing and following God's call to learn and grow and serve and love. And here at CrossWay we have discovered the journey with Jesus is only complete when we do it together.
People who begin attending CrossWay come from many backgrounds. Some have been committed Christians for many years, and they come from many denominations across the spectrum, from Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic to mainline Protestant, Evangelical and Charismatic. More come to us as spiritual seekers – perhaps having had some religious background as children, perhaps having no background at all. Some had a bad church experience in the past and they’re wondering if CrossWay could be a safe place to resume their spiritual journey.
The Connections Class helps people from different backgrounds become oriented with the Christian journey at CrossWay.
During our time together we will look at God's Big Story and where we fit into the picture. We'll also explore a Road Map for our journey with Jesus. We will have the opportunity to consider one person's journey with Jesus and how our own journey might be similar. We will also look at some Next Steps for our journey with Jesus.
The Connections Class will then cover the history, mission, and leadership of CrossWay. With that foundation we will explore some ways you can become more involved in the CrossWay family. At the end of the class we will walk through what it means to be a Mission Partner at CrossWay and how you can take this important step when you are ready.
The Connections Class meets for 3 hours and is led by a member of our pastoral staff. You will have the opportunity to get to know others in the class and will be actively participating together in this learning experience. The class is interactive and a great deal of fun.
The Connections Class is held at CrossWay on a Saturday morning, although occasionally a class is scheduled on a Sunday afternoon. For more information or to register, please contact the church office at (603) 594-0123, ext. 212.
